S.I.O. Sides of In and Out

Site-specific performance for four dancers and debut of 23 Poems Collective.

Four female bodies/identities move together through dance and spoken fragments. Each identity brings a piece of their inner self, their own self, which is reflected in the collective space. They shed their masks to open up to themselves and others. The world of this performance is full of diversity and possibilities.

“Hey! Can you hear me? Do you see me? Do you feel me? I hear dance, I see music, I feel everything and nothing. I am in the space between – between mind and body – here I find freedom. In totality I find “nothing”. And from nothing, anything can bloom. And so we met and danced, experienced the harmony and cacophony of four bodies and waited until together we experience nothing – nothing that is absolute. From nothing it all began and in nothing it ends again… Together we dance through fragmented images so we can find each other again.”
